My research interests focus primarily in four areas, all centered on the role of sports in American culture and history.
As of September 1, 2023, I have authored or co-authored 48 peer-reviewed articles, 3 textbooks, 12 book chapters, and 91 refereed conference presentations. A fourth edition of a Sport Public Relations textbook on which I am co-author is in development.
I am active member of the Society for American Baseball Research and recently completed a biography of an under-appreciated player and coach from the 1950-70s.
